ABSTRACT
Herbal slimming products are consumed frequently, due to attractive advertisement and easy accessibility. As the content of these products and their impact on health are not totally known, potential side effects could be expected, which might lead to lethal consequences.
A sixteen-year-old girl was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit after a suicide attempt with a herbal slimming product. She presented with tachycardia and hypertension. After 3 days of treatment in the unit, she was discharged in good health. This case was reported to highlight the potential side effects of these drugs and their potential use for suicide attempt.
