Kafa içi basınç artışı sendromu (KİBAS); kafa içi basıncının yaşa göre normal değerin üst sınırının üstüne çıkması, buna bağlı semptom ve bulguların gelişmesi durumudur. Normal koşullarda ortalama intrakranial basınç (İKB) infantlarda 1,5-6 mmHg, çocuklarda 3-7 mmHg, yetişkinlerde 5-15 mmHg’dır. İKB’nin 20 mmHg’nın üzerinde 5 dakikadan daha uzun seyretmesi durumunda artmış İKB’den söz edilir. Kafatası içinde; kan, BOS ve beyin dokusu hacminin artması veya yer kaplayıcı lezyon varlığında İKB yükselebilir. Bu protokolün amacı KİBAS’ın tanısı, takibi ve tedavisi konusunda çocuk hekimlerine genel bilgi vermektir. Bu protokol, hekimin profesyonel görüşünün yerine geçemez.
Anahtar Kelimeler:
Serebral ödem, kafa içi basınç artışı, travmatik beyin hasarı, çocuk yoğun bakım
